Thank you gentlemen. Very timely article. Buildings and infrastructure seem to be the last areas to make use of our rapidly developing intelligent technologies.

My Canadian patent just issued for Integrated Framing, a method of collecting and distributing power and data through the window or curtainwall framing. It eliminates the need for separate wall structures and allows the flexibility for replacement as you mentioned. The most valuable feature is the ability to embed sensors to collect real-time weather data for controlling the shading. lighting, and HVAC systems to truly create a “living” enclosure.
